Fall 2025 Undergraduate Exhibition
“Basalt”
a group exhibition featuring 13 emerging undergraduate artists from School of the Art Institute of Chicago for their Fall 2025 undergraduate exhibition. Overseen by Jeffrey Prokash, these artists explore identity, formation, and personal experiences through imagery, materiality, and installation. Please join us to celebrate these artists as they reach this milestone.

We turn to artifacts of the self to inhabit as forms of protection, preservation, and reformation. Molded through various expressions of environment, our identities mirror the forces that have been projected onto them. Wishing to reshape our futures, we look to past impressions recovered through practices of ritual, the collection of ephemera, the construction of place, embodiments of belonging, and illustrations of the self. We now take the opportunity to build off of the processes of our formations and erosions held within memories, to reform who we are – as contested spaces with porous natures.

Upcoming piece at the Harold Washington Library for the Halo Halo project
October 1st, 2025 – January 15th, 2026
I am excited to announce that my small woven tapestry piece, “Silog,” will be a part of Halo Halo’s group show at the Harold Washington Library in Chicago, Illinois. This project highlights the diaspora of the Filipino-American experience and its growth in the cultural landscape of Chicago.
